Optimize Footer

what's your blog footer looks like? do you let it just the way it is or you try to optimize it for some purpose? I saw some blogs put some links to their footer. Some other put their blogrolls there. Other just simply put the ads banner

I once put background music on my footer. But not anymore. I guess I'm still not deciding yet what kind of optimization that I wll apply to my footer

I think the best use of footer can be to use ads or link exchange partner's link.

Most of the internet users hate site that run music or say any type of sound in the background. That irritates them. So avoid using background music/sound in the site.

But I still wonder about how many visitors really scroll the site till they see the footer and even if they reach at footer how much attention they pay at it?

Yes, I agree. I also have friends who complaining about the music

Most of internet users in my country still have limited access especially bandiwidth so I guess it's better not to put any kind of bandwidth consuming activity in our site

Btw, I think you're right. Not many visitors care enough to see what's on our footer. So perhaps it's best to optimize the footer for some links return to our sites don't you think. Or maybe placing a blogroll

Footer is best when u use it for blogroll , show top commenter and things which are not very important but need to be there.

Footer importance depend on the length of the page of your blog!

Good point, if your page is going to have big scroller at right side of the browser window, the there is no point of putting real useful information at footer, because many will avoid scrolling till end to see the footer.

But yes if you page do not have any scroller at all then it might be very useful to use the footer area in good sense.
That area always helps in such cases.
