Us Linux users are in a great position - with updates literally daily we can very easily keep our installations up to date with (really) little effort [especially with tools such as yum on Fedora.] Major releases of new distro versions often include a small utility to painlessly update older distros as well.
However, my mentality is if it ain't broke, dont fix it... Im sure I share this with other people.
So, how often do you update your installation? Personally, I am still using FC 5 on my main office machine (although with some required updates installed.) With Fedora 10 just around the corner I know I should really update, but am a little anxious of causing problems with the installation of bespoke items on my machine.
