So, What is it?
From what i've been able to understand, You open a file (even an exe ) using a hex editor, View the data stored in it in (even if it's binary that makes no sense to us ignorant humans) and editing it.
I've experimented with it and, besides editing a lot of ascii text, I managed converted an adding program to a subtracting program by editing 2 bytes. (It was fun, thanks for asking)
So has anyone here used it and can someone explain what it does and where it's used?
I remember seeing hex patches used for modifying code of consoles (to make CFWs) and also in ROM hacking (fun fun) and patches.
It seems so interesting yet so high above my head.
Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance :)
