Hi, I'm learning PHP for my project work and could not stop myself from telling all that PHP is so simple language! If you know C and C++ its not abig deal to learn PHP. Also would like to tell that i worked in JSP also but PHP is simple and less error prone than JSP.

Yeah, I failed at learning PHP a few years ago Tongue. This year, however, I took a course regarding C++, and now I understand PHP just fine.

When it comes to PHP, I can proudly tell others that I learned PHP in just one day, and started doing database related coding in PHP the second day.

Yeah, it's easy and simple language, the most important thing is that the PHP manual which is available both offline and online, is best source to learn PHP. All the functions and code are very well explained in the manual with easy examples.

I agree that I for me PHP was simple language to learn than other languages.

To be honest, if you are proficient in Java, C and C++ you should find PHP a breeze - you might get away with just reading the language specification at www.php.net and getting stuck in

The only thing that I know about PHP that it is Open Source and its database is free of cost, may be that is the reason why PHP is used by many programmers around the world.

I would like to take some time and learn PHP myself.  It's hard to believe that I do so much website work and sometimes tweak code for them.  But in my opinion, it's easier to modify and fix code then to write completely new code.
