I have two textboxes, which I want to validate, but the thing is that one of them must be filled, but not both. How can I add this validation to the validation summary? I looked at the methods but none seem to do this. I have added Required Field Validator for other textboxes and their messages are showing up, but I need advise with this.

From looking on the web I think you can use a custom validator class - and some programmed logic to achieve this

In Asp. net have the facility to give the custom validation provide to the user.  In this when the user create a form in Asp. net than Its just set the number of properties  to the text box.  For example when the user create a forms in this its just set the properties of text box .  like error message, Control to validate etc.  In this no programming is to be create to user for the user just user set the properties.  All this validation are check at the client side.

The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
