Shahul, you seem to be quite new to internet. These are the basics in adobe photoshop, you can find everything in the tool box of adobe photoshop. I am using adobe photoshop 7, i have been using this for long time, it has all the basic tools.

Do you mean that you have something in a photo, and you want to get rid of the background and put a new one there, or do some kind of modifications to the actual background?

HI,Shahul :c use a chromakey (sp?) background, usually blue or green, and then the computer can automatically crop them into new backgrounds very easily. It's the same thing that the weatherman does on TV.
Thank You KARLS :c sds authoring

Back ground can be easily changed through layers. Simply take the image that you wish to make as your background then then make it as your bottom layer then the object will be placed on the top layer.
