I prefer wordpress. We can install it easily on own private web hosting plus there are lot of free MODs available which can be used to enhance the functionality of your wordpress based blog.

For those of you who have Wordpress on Network Solutions hosting, be careful because their servers got hacked and a lot of Wordpress sites got taken down.

I don't believe any of the fault lies with Wordpress -- it was NS's fault but people should be careful and make sure they're not affected.
