I haven't read it - to be honest I don't have any interest in VB itself anymore. What specifically is the E book about - is it a tutorial/programming instructions?

visual basic 2008 is a wonderful thing of the year. its quite advanced version of VB 2005. VB is a very easy application. firsr you need to design the form with the tools that are avilable as desired. just double click on the form you enter the coding section. its very simple.

From what you have written it sounds very similar to VB6 (and earlier versions for that matter!) - obviously there are language differences/improvements, what are they?

make a program which allows people to make quizes, so they can make a new quiz and enter questions and answers, then they can play the quiz and your program will ask random question from the quiz and the user has to provide the correct answer. then giv them a score at the end i made one in c# a while ago, it was fun ================ Office Chairs | Chairs

@Polas: VS 2008 is advanced version of VS 2005 and now VS 2010 is also launched. They are advanced than VS 2005 meaning they have a lot more new features than the previous versions.
Creating a form then adding controls to it and making it run is just a basic use of all the VS versions. But with the new versions the ability to develop applications faster and faster is great. Added to this, the new features like LINQ and other are too great. LINQ is a feature that lets you connect to your database and manipulate data with simple English like queries, which are simpler than general SQL that we use.
Many more new things that I can add here, but I just want to give you quick idea about how these new versions are improved and better than previous one.
