best book or tutorial for VB.net for beginners

I would like to start learning programming by VB.net.
can anyone here please guide me which is the best book or video tutorial for learning vb.net
please remember i don't have any previous background of programming. so looking for the easiest way up.
while searching on net i come across tutorial by lynda.com or VTC series. is it good for a beginner ?

please guide.

Theres a million and one tutorials out there, just search on google. A good tutorial really is subjective - it depends very much on how you work with them and the manner in which they are getting the information across.

Personally, I think the key to learning a language, and programming in general, is practice, practice, practice - and then some more practice!  thumb

Yeah polas is rite learning can only lead you to a some good knowledge but when implementing practically you need a lots and lots of practice... only practice can help you i learned this when i was coding JAVA

i prefer java its simply great to work with.. you know what we can't tell exactly when we will get the concept to be simple we may get the concept while programming or during our sleep or while getting up or even while enjoying simply its thrilling...
