I need some help regarding a virus New Folder.exe or Regsvr.exe. i have already installed the Macafee 8.0 but not able to rectify the virus. every time when i start the sytem i got the message and an exe named regsvr.exe is executing under my task manager which takes 25 % of CPU Utilization. Can any one help me to sort out.

I have been a victim of this virus also but then i switched my antivirus software from AVG to Norton and got the problem solved man..
So i think you can try it also and remove the virus.

Thanks Neoadam. i will try today to sort out this by your link. This is first time when my system is infected from this kind of virus. i have tried lots of options but not succeeded. Let me try at my home and will let you konw. thanks anain.

Hi Neoadam,
I have tried that at my home and first time i have not received any virus message while swithing on my system. The Regsvr was also deleted from msconfigure but after an hour the virus is active again. i have tried those steps 2 to 3 times but not succeed. Please let me konw any other way to remove that virus.

i have tried those steps again and it is still in my machine. Today i will try this Kaspersky Challenge to scan my system and let you konw if this will help me out to remove the virus from my sytem. Thanks again

Try kaspersky internet security even after using this antivirus, if the problem persists better format and install thats the best option othe than trying different softwares and wasting time just 30 min to format and all other you can install with an couple of days...

solution for this is just change your antivirus. . . . . . your problem will get solved easily. . .
and second option just end this process from task manager. . . . . . . . . . .

for folder.exe i always used updated net protector antivirus and it definitely solve your problem also, you just have to try it.

I regularly used net protector for fixing such viruses. So you try it and i hope it will fix up the problem.
