Generating a report via a query
February 04, 2008, 01:51:20 PM
Hey Guys,
We;; this is my first post and I did have a look in the forums but could not see an answer to my question, first of all I am rather new to VB and am currently understanding a college project with Vb and like the application and what you can do with it, I am using VB6.
Right well, I am looking to allow for a user when they click a button for a report to be displayed. Is there a way to create the report via a query using VB and access? how I mean is that you already have the report created in Access but then you have a command that runs it in VB.
Sorry if its such a newbie question.
Thanks,
Dan

I *think* this is it. That's how I'd code the macros within Access.
Code:
OpenReport(ReportName)

If you want to create a report via query than crystal report is a best way for you. Crystal report is a third party tool for reporting. It's freely available on the Internet and also easy to use.
