Forum Rules & Signature Rules
Whilst we hope to maintain a relaxed, open atmosphere on the forum there are a number of rules set in place to ensure the enjoyment of all our members.
To help the community run smoothly and effectively, please follow these rules when you are posting to the TechnicalTalk forum. If you have any questions regarding these, please feel free to contact the Administrator for further clarification.
Forum LanguageEnglish is the primary language used on this forum and by our members, please do not use any other language.
General Rules1) Post in the appropriate forum - If you don't know where to post something, PM a moderator and they will tell you where to post it. Of course genuine mistakes will be accounted for.
2) No Spamming - These are annoying posts, which often have no real meaning. We are aiming to run a professional forum here at TechnicalTalk, and any SPAM messages will be deleted on sight.
3) No Advertising -
The only form of advertising allowed is inside your signature. We appreciate that posting links (sometimes your own) can often be helpful and enhanced discussions - this is allowed as long as it is not for personal gain.
4) No Flaming - Naturally, discussions can sometimes get quite passionate - this is allowed but please remember we are all here to learn from each other and insults towards another members are strictly forbidden. We will not tolerate this and you will be promptly warned to stop - you will receive a maximum of three warnings, and if these are ignored, will receive a ban. The worse the offense, the worse the ban and in extreme cases it is possible your entire IP range will be banned.
5) No Bumping - Random bumping of threads older than a month without good reason will result in warnings. Deletion of posts will happen if there are cases of repeat offenders.
6) No Offensive Posts - You must not post any thing which is offensive, hateful, racist, sexist, discriminatory, obscene, vulgar or in violation of local or international laws. Anyone doing this will be banned permanently without warning.
7) No copyright-infringing material - Do not upload, attach, or otherwise post any copyrighted material which you are not free to redistribute (subject to the licensing terms of the specific item.) If you have a question about having permission to post or attach a specific item, please ask a moderator. We do not condone nor accept posts pertaining to illegal activities such as hacking, cracking, warez, or spam. Any posts or threads found in violation of this rule will be edited or deleted, and the poster warned or possibly banned; at the moderation team's discretion.
8) To use working links in your posts, you must have post count of 15. You can add URLs to site or some page in the post, but these URLs will not be like links until you reach 15 post count.
