Yuck, was just thinking today VB6 is prety old now, atleast 12 years I would say. What a horrible language, do yourself a favour and learn a different one - there are many to choose from

Vb6 is old that is right by you should switch to VB. NET with is new and advance version. and purchase MSDN library CDs to start.

VB.Net is really amazing and powerful than its old brother VB 6.0. It has lot of new features than VB 6.0 and therefore creating new applications with VB.Net is quite relaxing than creating it in VB 6.0

Coding in GUI environment is quite a transition to traditional, linear programming methods where the user is guided through a linear path of execution and is limited to small set of operations. In GUI environment, the number of options open to the user is much greater, allowing more freedom to the user and developer. Features such as easier comprehension, user-friendliness, faster application development and many other aspects such as introduction to ActiveX technology and Internet features make Visual Basic an interesting tool to work with.

With VB 6, you can create any program depending on your objective.
