Good post friend, but there are lot of disadvantages of the site that uses either lot of flash or is completed designed using flash. The flash content sites takes more time to load than normal sites that may affect popularity of the site. One other important point is, Google and other search engines are not that good crawling flash content therefore it may be bad idea to have important content on your site as embedded into flash.

I always prefer the current affairs.
The hot topic today:
1. Times square time bomb: Do a flash animation of how the car might have be driven there, how the cops handled it or what would happen if it did blew up.

2. The oil spill: How oil have been spreading closer to the shore day by day. Google up some environmental effects and add notes to the animation. Maybe buttons to click and notes come up?
