How widely used still is VB6? |

Maybe it's me, but it seems like everything as far as Visual Basic has moved on to .net and above so the programs can take advantage of the .Net framework. What does everybody else think?

Probably - With the domain I am in I don't really pay much attention to VB or .net to be honest.

I work at a college and all they really teach is the latest version of vb.net, which at this point is VB2008. I think VB6 is long gone, but I have it installed on my laptop.

I'm working on a project for one of my supervisors and I'm coding it in vB 6. LOL I don't need anything special about it, just a form with a bunch of command buttons to call various batch files.

hi ya you are right. that vb6 has not limited fetures, we can program here. but vb. net is some bit advance. i also preffer vb6 for small progarm

with VB.NET, you can use the the functions of other controls in any control, and you can also mix codes of other languages.
