Anyone use Twitter? What's so great about it? I've used Facebook and Myspace and figured that those status updates are the same. What's the difference with twitter?

I use Twitter. @jerleneK
I had no idea that it was two years old. Weird how I only heard about it this year. It's a great source of traffic for me though. I used to use it for actually updating people on what I was doing[the original purpose of Twitter] but then I started using it to update people on my newest services and products. lol

I was exactly like many of you when I first joined Twitter. I left it for a couple months then decided to give it another shot and after really giving it a fair shot I realized it is actually really amazing. It is a great news source and way to connect with people.

Actually twitter is too different from facebook and myspace, it's a micro bloggin system .. and I really like the idea of micro blogging, you should try to use it ..

If I am not wrong, then on twitter one must make decent number of followers to whom you can share your links. Therefore the followers will be your traffic as they will visit your site, after you share your link with them. But I have never used it, so I don't have exact idea about it.

I cannot use twitter because i dont understand how can i it use. i mostly like Facebook and netlog.com.
both are social networking site like twitter.
any one tell me can i use as a twitter bookmarking site.

I use Twitter, but it's generally only good for very short messages and meeting up, it's a bit like an instant messenger but anyone can see it if you set it to the public option.

Lifetime of a status update vs. a Tweet
A Tweet has by far a much shorter lifespan than a Facebook update. According to some interesting insights from Sysomos, about 92% of engagement with a Tweet happens within the first hour after being tweeted.
A Facebook update on the other hand is far longer to be present in peoples timelines. It can often stretch over several days until all interaction with the update dried up.
