My favourite used to be C++ - because you can do anything you like - very powerful indeed.
Lately my favourite is C# - much easier to use in Visual Studio 2005. In fact it could that I like Studio 2005 and that lead me to favour C#.

Yes C# is the best from the list.. I think there's not a difference a lot between vs2005 and vs2008. if I am not wrong.. there are only some new addons in vs2008. and you can get that addons and add it to your vs2005.

I think the WPF support is better in 2008 than 2005. I think you can add the tools into 2005 but I've been warned they aren't very reliable.
2008 also supports Silverlight which is quite interesting.

It's a Microsoft technology for developing RIAs (Rich Internet Applications). The idea is you develop a GUI using a cutdown form of WPF and then deploy it on a Web Server. A client web browser download the file and then a Silverligth run-time (like a cutdown form of .Net 3.5) runs your GUI. It has a lot of parallels with Java Applet but allows much richer GUIs - at least in V2 which is currently in beta.

C# is my flavour of the moment. C++ is a close second. I use C# for GUI development but for console type apps I use C++ - still MS Visual C++ 6.0.

I think most web based applications are developed using C#, so i voted for it.
People who are familiar with VB 6.0 feel comfortable with VB. I don't know about what people prefer while they think about desktop application in .net

I have no experience with .NET c# but I vouch for C# since my company used it! it is a good language similar to Java. Furthermore its syntax is much shorter than VB.NeT, don you think?

I would definitely go with c# and believe that it is the best language that is available currently . It is very user friendly and very easy to learn if anyone knows Java and C++ as according to me it is a mixture of both of these languages.

Hi
Here's a little poll about which operating system you like the best. If your favorite isn't listed, then by all means let us know about it! Why is it your favorite OS? What nifty thing do you like about? Is there something great and wonderful that another OS doesn't have?

I would like to prefer C#. C# is specified to be a simple, modern, general-purpose, object-oriented programming language.

A consumer web browser download the enter and then a Silverligth run-time runs your GUI. It has a lot of parallels with Java Applet but allows overmuch richer GUIs - at small in V2 which is currently in chenopodiaceae.

. Net is very easy than Java for programming. Because in it we can drag and drop controls and put anywhere. In . Net there are many languages like C#, VB, J# and many more. My flavour is C#. Because it is very easy to learn. We can make many types of application like Console Application, Windows Application, Web Application, Mobile Application.
